Matthew had a busy day today. His chest tubes were removed, many of his CVICU buddies stopped in to say goodbye, he was moved upstairs and settled in, all the while suffering from the withdrawals of pain medication. Since he was on Morphine for such a short time he will likely be spared the Methodone regiment this time.

It is so wonderful that Matthew is making such a quick recovery from his surgery. I hope he continues to improve and can be released from the hospital soon. Good luck and God speed to all of you!

Isn't that the "where's my grandma wright and Auntie Kim" look? I do believe it is. I know that daddy and mommy can sing the Farmer in the Dell; but they don't sing it in several keys each. :) He has been tugging on that right ear the past few days. Do you suppose it is a Carol Burnett sign for Aunti Kim and I???? Isn't he the cutest little boy in the whole wide world??? I'm sending you a mental message, Matthew. (now that IS a stretch) "Come home soon" and "I love you so much". grandma w

He looks so wonderful and is such a joy to be around. I'll be going over soon and can't wait. I miss Grandma W and Kim also. It was so wonderful spending time with you. We pray that all continues to go well so he can be out of the hospital soon. I only wish I was going with them.

Love from Grandma Sue
