Keeping Matthew calm enough to breath is essentail to a successful extubation. Terri is the master soother. Since she was pumping, Annie and Sandy called in the 2nd string.

I think we all agree that you and Terri are both the most wonderful parents a child could hope for. You are such a loving family and Matthew will have a wonderful life for sure. I am so proud of you all.

Love, Grandma Sue

Mommy is the "best" comforter to Matthew. He relies on his mommy day and night. Her presence alone brings about a certain quieting for her son. He watches his mommy for for smiles, kisses, funny faces, songs and stories. I often wonder if "mothers" realize" the value of their mere presence in the eyes of a child. In the eyes of a child who has gone through what Matthew has, it is the greatest pain killer of them all. Matthew truly suffers from "mommy withdrawals" when he doesn't see that beautiful smiling face of reassurance. Daddy has the "other" tranquilizing effect on our little prince. You have to see it to believe it. It is consoling to those around as well. Love you our precious King Trio. Love grandma w
