Matthew has a colorful wooden rosary that hangs from a peg near his changing table. When I changed his diaper this morning he grabbed it and began playing with it all the way into the kitchen.

It's like another toy with great colors. He also looks pretty darn comfortable in his little bouncy chair. These pictures are such a joy.

Love, Grandma Sue

Is that a bottle holder attached to his bouncy seat?

Matthew has an actual statue of Our Lady of Fatima on the shelf in his room. It is special because it actually came from Fatima, and was bless with the holy water of healing at Fatima. One of Matthews loved ones, another Kim, had novenas said to Our Lady at Fatima. It is Holy Week, you know, and a little "thank you" to Matthew's Heavenly Father is always appropiate. You are a child of God, Matthew, and your life has been evidence of God's Healing and Love. You may not know it yet, but you ARE "special". Love you sweet baby, grandma w

Our Lord has blessed ALL of us with Matthew, He has given us many lessons to learn, the largest in my mind would be confirmation of our faith in Him, that He knows what He is doing and why, and Matthew is His special instrument. This week in particular, it is important in my mind to Thank our Lord for these special blessings He gives us. I know it is high on my priority to thank Him for Matthew, and the joy and sorrow I have felt over his birth. The sorrow of course being the challenges that brave little guy has faced, and sadness at the strength required from all of his family while he fights his personal battle. The joy, well I know I do not need to explain THAT! So, as Grandma W. has said in her famous nannigrams, if you came thru this experience without gaining faith, then you will not have had any to begin with, and we all pray hard for you. Thank you Lord for this lesson and especially for the instrument you gave to teach us! We love you so much Matthew. Happy 1ST Easter darlin child!! You are so special and so loved!!!
