Trip to Beaver

This weekend we went up to Beaver, UT with Grandma & Grandpa Wright. It was still quite cold up there so Matthew spent the whole weekend in the motorhome. As you can see by the photos, he still climbed every mountain and interacted with the wildlife!

My parents motorhome is great ...
it has come in quite handy over the past couple years... Mike and I stayed in it during our 3 month stay up at the Stanford parking lot druing his first surgery...

saving us thousands of dollars in hotel expenses....(or at least a thousand dollars had we stayed at Ronald McDonald House.)

The pics of Moose and Matthew crack me up.. he was soo gentle w/ Moose and Moose was so gentle w/ Matthew!!!

I must apologize for the quality of the photos, Mike was just yippin at me...

I used my cell phone instead of our fancy schmancy Canon camera....

sorry!! I'll do better next trip.

I just couldn't miss these shots!
Next time I'll have my camera out and ready to go!

It was soo cold and windy up in Beaver this weekend... so we're happy happy we had such a nice comfortable place to stay!!
Not to mention the GREAT view we had.

I just love these pictures. The first one driving up there has Matthew looking very serious and maybe wondering if this is a trip to the doctor's office. Once out of town it looks like the fun started. He has tons of room to play in the big motor home and has his little animal friends for extra company. I love the pictures with Moose. They just love each other. I love Matthew's hands on Moose's face and the nose to nose, eye to eye look. He had some tumbles and some laughter behind the barrier. And, the smile driving home tells us that he had a wonderful time. Great pictures Terri. I know you didn't have the other camera handy, but then you didn't miss some of the greatest pictures either. It brings me so much happiness to see Matthew laughing and having fun.

I'm sorry to hear about his lung congestion and hope it clears up soon. It's tough when you have to take him to a doctor's office where other children come in with colds.

I love you all so much and hope to see you soon.

Love, Grandma Sue

Wow, what an amazing motor home! I wouldn't mind traveling if I could travel in that type of style! Glad you all had such a good time even though it was cold. And those pictures are just fine! I especially love the pictures of Matthew and Moose. :-)

Looks like you all had a wonderful little getaway! Matthew you are such a doll! Keep us updated on the lung issues and hope everything clears without more meds or having to go back to the Dr. We'll be praying.

Matthew kept us all in laughter with his personality and climbing. He actually climbed up on the dashboard and with daddy or papa right there, ran back and forth looking out the big window. He liked to climb up on the motor housing and lean on the dash and just look outside at the view. Little people miss out on the wonderful view being they are so short.

On one occasion when Matthew reached the dashboard, he sat on the dashboard, turned around to laugh, wave his arms in the air and then clap his hands. He was so proud of himself!!!!!!

When the gate came down, the door was locked so no one could open the door on him. He must have climb up and down those stairs a million time before we left. He is such a tuffy. Love you my little mountain climber....grandma wright

Did he just wake up one morning and had turned into a little boy? He looks so grown up and not like a baby in these photos! What happy little man he is! LOVE ALL of them... smiles all around!
