One boy's long road to recovery. Matthew was born two months premature with a rare fourfold heart defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia and MAPCA's, and Ventricular Septal Defect. He's had two open heart surgeries and will need additional heart surgeries in the future. To appreciate the absolute miracle of this "3 plus million dollar boy", you'd need to look into the "Archives" beginning after his first 9 hr open heart surgery at Stanford, August 2005.

Are you looking for a "People's Choice"?
My vote is for The Little Dreamer!
BTW, what happened to his eye?
You'll have to ask Terri this time. It happened during her watch. Hahahaha
Uhhh, errrrr....
well, the poor little thing...
that Baclofen drug he's taking makes him very unstable... and wobbly...
and he was in the den "doin circles" and Quixa came barreling in the room and knocked him into the file cabinet corner...
I felt horrible... I was sitting right there and it happened soooo fast... there was nothing I could do... I turned purple right away,
and there was NO chance of putting ice on it...
"I" didn't turn purple..
Matthew's eye turned purple...
Matthew no longer "walks" around the house, he "runs" around the house. Every now and then he adds a sort of "hop" in between steps as if to tempt his balance.
His first day on Baclofen was horrid. He acted like he was tipsy. He actually became frustrated with falling down so much. Matthew is perpetual motion and is always moving about. On occasions he takes the corners a little sharp and runs into the door jam. I hate moving walls, don't you?
I feel sorry for little children and cringe with they take a fall. For some reason, they always seem to land on their heads when their little seats are so well padded. To see bruises where he has fallen hurts us all. It is a reminder that we cannot let out children grow up and live their lives without some hard knocks. You can't put them in a bubble when they are young; but you sure can be there with the hugs and kisses when they fall and go boom boom.
I wonder what Matthew is dreaming in these pictures. He is just so precious. God Bless our little angel, grandma wright
How cute!
Aren't they so precious. While sleeping??? he he
I love the sleeping pictures. He is definitely a little angel and I hope all his dreams are happy and full of wonder about what he will be doing the next day. His life is full of happiness and fun things to do.
I love you Matthew. Grandma Sue
What a little angel!
Liam got his first big bump this weekend too. I was right there as a witness as well. Speedy boogers getting hurt before we can rescue them, NOT FAIR!
He is a darling! I love sleepy baby photos! And yes, I can just hear that song playing once you mentioned it!
