One boy's long road to recovery. Matthew was born two months premature with a rare fourfold heart defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia and MAPCA's, and Ventricular Septal Defect. He's had two open heart surgeries and will need additional heart surgeries in the future. To appreciate the absolute miracle of this "3 plus million dollar boy", you'd need to look into the "Archives" beginning after his first 9 hr open heart surgery at Stanford, August 2005.

Matthew has a great love for books. When he picks the book, he listens intently to what you are saying. He likes to turn the pages, so sometimes the story sounds a little strange to the disinterested listener; but it all makes sense to our little hero.
It looks like Matthew tracked mommy down in the kitchen for his bedtime story. I think it is great this is such a color coordinated family. Mommy dressed in her "Frederick's of Flannel" jammies was ready and willing to plop down on the floor for this important event.
Life with Matthew is good!
Love you two! grandma wright
Ah yes.... aren't they hot!!!!!!
I had to wear my Fredrick's Flannels b/c this is a G rated blog!!
Ha ha!!!!! They are quite comfy and warm though!!
Very sweet pictures. Those jammies do look very comfy and warm. Good thing this blog is rated "G"! ;-)
I LOVE jammies!! So cozy.
I also love storytime. I can't wait until my boy enjoys it. Right now we kind of force it on him because we dig it. =)
No, you never say no to that...And those PJ's are to die for!
