One boy's long road to recovery. Matthew was born two months premature with a rare fourfold heart defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia and MAPCA's, and Ventricular Septal Defect. He's had two open heart surgeries and will need additional heart surgeries in the future. To appreciate the absolute miracle of this "3 plus million dollar boy", you'd need to look into the "Archives" beginning after his first 9 hr open heart surgery at Stanford, August 2005.

Matthew certainly has the rhythm and the beat to play the drums. He is pretty much a natural when it comes to music. The closer to bedtime it gets the more pumped he gets. Now he doesn't have any older brothers and sisters to learn this from. This is all self-induced knowledge. Ha Ha.
Matthew knows that grandma wright makes a super audience for him. All her eyes and ears are on him and he thrives on the enthusiasm and laughter. He is just delightful to be with.
Love you my funny little entertainer! grandma wright
I love the pictures with the drums. He looks so happy dancing to the music or dancing to his own drum beats. All the different expressions on his face or priceless. I'm so happy he loves music, just like the rest of the family. Have fun little drummer boy.
Love, Grandma Sue
That is so cool! Very cute drum set and even cuter drummer! Maybe Magoo can teach Liam a little rhythm.
