Post-op

Matthew was in-and-out of the operating room in 30 minutes. Thankfully, there was very little pain involved with this procedure so he awoke quite peacfully by comparison.

I sure hope this is the last hospital visit/test for awhile!

He was such a sweetheart. I don't think he cried once....
not even when he first woke up to a strange face... Derek was standing over him when his eyes opened... but he did immediately look around for us. He's such a good boy.

I can't see any of your cute pics. :(

And the comments only open if I right click and open in a new window. How weird!

I, too, hope for all of you that this will be the last test for awhile. He must have been so tired after all that. Thanks for sharing all the moments of his life with all of us. I can't wait until I can retire so I can see him all the time. I've missed alot I know, but the pictures have all been wonderful.

I love you all. Mom (Grandma Sue)

I love the picture where Matthew is just looking at the board or bandage taped to his little arm. Matthew is facinated with his hands and is so proud of them. How many 2 year olds would just be curious at what was attached to his arm and precious hand, and not be pulling at it to get it off. Matthew is just beautiful in "every" way.

Matthew has put his fears onto his mommy and daddy's shoulders. He "knows" where ever they are, love and security follows. I know they silently carry his fears and pain with deep love in their hearts for him. Love you my brave little hero.

These pictures just tear at my heart... That precious little face has already seen more hospital personnel in twenty-two months than my 102-year old Grandmother saw in her entire lifetime.
