The Daredevil

Never satisfied to simply sit in his rocking chair, Matthew insists on standing up and, as a result, taking precious years off the life of my heart & nerves.

I can just hear it now ... you guys are probably wondering...

why are they taking pics of this kid while being a daredevil......

Mike was standing off to the side ready to catch him if he fell while I snapped the shots.

We will try to keep his last words on Earth from being, "Hey ya'll, watch this!"

I have observed our little hero putting a lot of pressure on his guardian angel lately.

Matthew is going through the "fearless" stage and he does wait to see a reaction, which is "everyone" in the room running for the "catch".

Does anybody wonder "how" Matthew got the bruise on his check. Follow him around and you' be amazed that is his only one.

When I gave him the rocking chair I had no idea it would become his play gymn. Just look at all the creative things he can do with just one chair. It doesn't show him standing up holding the back of the chair and rocking. Hopefully he will grow out of "this phase" very soon.

Love you our little dare devil.... grandma wright

If it makes you feel any better (which it will not) Ali has now learned to climb up onto the couch. Normally that's not such a big deal, but she finds great pleasure in standing on the couch and falling backwards. Now backwards typically means into the back of the couch, but she doesn't normally check her bearings prior to the plunge. She's fallen forward onto the floor more than once (Thank god it's carpeted), and last weekend she leaned forward and performed a roll where her head barely touched the floor and completely flipped onto her back. Every time we say "No Ali, we don't stand on the couch." She just puts a big grin on her face and giggles.

Moral of that somewhat long story: We feel your pain! I don't know how many heart beats I've skipped, but I want them back :)

I'm not even there and I'm reaching out to grab him. What a dare devil! He is definitely all boy. I guess I shouldn't say that. I bet Ali is doing the same thing. Is that true, Johnny & Cheryl?

I love you little climber.
