Baby Mason Manning is born on Feb. 7th

We have special friends here in Las Vegas named Justin and Lisa. Lisa was 20 weeks pregnant when she found that the baby boy she carried had a heart defect. He has Tetralogy of Fallot,
pulmonary stenosis and disontinuous pulmonary left branch. They are currently at Lucille Packard Children's Hospital at Stanford. World famous, Dr. Frank Hanley will be perfoming the open heart surgery... hopefully next week sometime. They were blessed w/ room availability at Ronald McDonald House.

They are an absolutely adorable couple with a 15 month old boy.

As Mike and I know all too well, it is SO very hard to be away from home during such a stressful and emotional time!! We would like to ask everyone to keep Justin, Lisa and the baby in their prayers.

Here is the link to their blog if you'd like to send well wishes or follow the progress of the new baby, Mason. He was born on the first day of CHD Awareness Week.

Thank you!

Lots of prayers being said for the Mannings. They are so lucky to have you and Mike as friends. I'll check back in tomorrow and hopefully you'll have some good news to report!

This is an email I got from Justin ..

WE Have a baby boy. Mason Manning. Born at 12:40 am Feb. 7, 2007. 7.3 lbs and 20 inches.

Things went quickly into action at about 10 pm last night. Within 15 minutes of breaking her water Lisa was asking for the epidural. Soon there after and to both our surprise Lisa was ready for the home stretch. She had about 15 minutes of actual labor and then our new son was born. So far so good, his heart is as expected, but he is under close watch in the NICU with no major complications. We are very happy and very tired we’ll write more tomorrow.

God selects "very special people" when He gives them "very special children" to raise. He also finds a way to draw them together for support purposes. Mike and Terri are the best!

I will continue to pray for the Manning's little boy as I have prayed for our little hero successful recovery.

Staying at the Ronald McDonald House during their stay will be an additional comfort and support. What a wonderful place it is for those who must be at Stanford and away from home.

Baby Manning is in Dr. Hanley's care and we all know how wonderful both he and his team are. We also know how caring the nurses and techs are in the NICU.

Let the miracle of baby Manning begin. Amen grandma wright

Baby Mason is in my prayers. I'm a nurse and specialized in cardiac care for many years. These heart defects are easily fixed. His parents will be amazed at how well he'll do. It's amazing how these surgeons perform such miracles in these babies tiny chests.

Thanks you guys... for all of your support...
I'm sure it will mean an awful lot to the Mannings...
I really feel for them right now..
we just know what a rollie coaster ride it is... and how hard it is on us parents to see our brand new little baby go thru this stuff.
I know how much our blog means to us... and how nice it was for us to come home and read loving comments!
