One boy's long road to recovery. Matthew was born two months premature with a rare fourfold heart defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia and MAPCA's, and Ventricular Septal Defect. He's had two open heart surgeries and will need additional heart surgeries in the future. To appreciate the absolute miracle of this "3 plus million dollar boy", you'd need to look into the "Archives" beginning after his first 9 hr open heart surgery at Stanford, August 2005.

It's very hard to see those beautiful eyes looking out over a mask again, but anything that will help him get well soon is what is needed I know.
I hope and pray that he will get well soon and out of the hospital.
I love you Matthew.

Awww that's a sad wee face.
I haven't been good checking up the past week or so. I was surprised to see little guy in the hospital. Will be saying prayers and will be checking back on you guys!
What a little soldier and good sport. He didn't seem to mind the vest treatment yesterday.
