One boy's long road to recovery. Matthew was born two months premature with a rare fourfold heart defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia and MAPCA's, and Ventricular Septal Defect. He's had two open heart surgeries and will need additional heart surgeries in the future. To appreciate the absolute miracle of this "3 plus million dollar boy", you'd need to look into the "Archives" beginning after his first 9 hr open heart surgery at Stanford, August 2005.

Godfrey it's cute...
we love it....
he loves books... he'd rather carry a book around than a toy.
Oh my Gosh he has gotten so big! I haven't checked on you guys in a while (sorry) - and he has just grown up so much! What a cutie!

Aww, I love reading! I love seeing little ones read!
Just like his Daddy who always loved to read or be read to. That's a special time together that he will remember always. Before you know it, he'll be reading stories to you. I can't wait until he can tell us all a great story. Very special pictures for sure.
I love you all so much.

That is a great sign! What a cute bookworm you've got!
Matthew does have his favorites too! When I babysit he will get the book of choice and just toss it in my lap. He loves the books that play music along with the story. I have noticed that he loves Winnie the Pooh and Tiger books.
Matthew has a great love for animal stories. He likes to take your finger and have you point to what he wants you to tell him about. When I last babysat for him, he dumped the basket of books out and found "the one" he wanted me to read. No digging through the library for this kid!
Love you my little book worm, grandma wright
Isn't that the truth!!
Its great that Matthew loves reading! Cute boy!
I actually think its cute when my 21 month old lays down on the floor and cries in a little tantrum. Awww, the terrrible twos already! Adorable!
