After all the visiting, Matthew was getting tired. Like a pro, Grandma Wright rocked him to sleep in a chair that has been in the family for 4 generations.

Matthew "loves" to rock. He will often crawl over to me and sit in my lap. He will initiate the rocking motion for me to rock him. If course it's easier with a rocking chair. Ha Ha. Yesterday, Matthew fell back into my arms like he wanted to lay down. I went into the living room and starting rocking him in the same chair that his great grandfather Davenport was rocked in, his grandfather Davenport, uncle Keith and his sibling and now him. Those little eyes fought Mr. Sandman but it was just to comforting. Matthew slipped off into slumberland and was able to take a nice winter's nap. Of course all the extra "pork" on grandma for soft comfort probably didn't hurt either. His grandma is just a skinny person in a fat person's body. Did I tell you I was one of those finger pickers around the food? The creaking and growning of the old rocker added to the mesmerizing sounds and rhythm of the rocking. Naps are something that Matthew does not like to take the time for during his busy schedule. That little break made for a very pleasant Thanksgiving for our little "goo-man". Love you sweet baby, grandma w
