A Day at the Zoo

A few weeks ago when we were in California we visited the Oakland Zoo. Matthew was fascinated with this giant frog statue.

What a beautiful day to visit the zoo. Matthew actually was quite brave around that frog. I can see why Matthew had his doubts at first. Those eyes..........

What about that "tree leaping" thingy. I am sure it will be good for a nightmare or too for me. I'm very impressionable with a great imagination for the things that go boom boom during the night.

I can tell that Matthew and his grandma Sue have truly bonded and he puts his trust in her. He is a wonderful little boy surrounded by "love".

These were certainly "making memories" days for the King Trio and his paternal family. I wonder if he worn his grandma sue out as much as he wears me out. I'll bet he did! hee hee

Feel like I was there. Love you all... grandma wright

It was so fun to share this adventure with Matthew. The frog didn't bother him but he did not like that plaque on the wall of the flying squirrel, or whatever that was. We walked up the hill to see the Giraffe's which I just love. You can barely see them in the background. I just loved every minute of time I had with him, Michael & Terri. Matthew is an absolute doll and so good. Lori and I had a great time. We took a walk around Johnny's neighborhood and Matthew was so interested in everything. He's not going to miss a thing.

Love to all of you. Grandma Sue
