One boy's long road to recovery. Matthew was born two months premature with a rare fourfold heart defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia and MAPCA's, and Ventricular Septal Defect. He's had two open heart surgeries and will need additional heart surgeries in the future. To appreciate the absolute miracle of this "3 plus million dollar boy", you'd need to look into the "Archives" beginning after his first 9 hr open heart surgery at Stanford, August 2005.

This was a really fun birthday party. Lots of good food, decoratings and friends. Everyone appeared to have a fun time. Mike, Terri and Matthew were able to visit with friends they have not seen for almost a year.
Casey was the "big brother" who prodded Matthew on through the "cake" incident, and assisted grandma Sue and I in keeping up with the ever "running" birthday boy.
It was a great pre-Mother's Day & Michael's birthday celebration with all the family present sharing in the laughter.
Happy 2nd birthday, little magoo. You were the center of the attention and loved it!
