One boy's long road to recovery. Matthew was born two months premature with a rare fourfold heart defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia and MAPCA's, and Ventricular Septal Defect. He's had two open heart surgeries and will need additional heart surgeries in the future. To appreciate the absolute miracle of this "3 plus million dollar boy", you'd need to look into the "Archives" beginning after his first 9 hr open heart surgery at Stanford, August 2005.

My name is Pat. I am Colin's grandmother from Connecticut. I have been following Matthew's blog for a very long time. He is just so cute and I am so glad he is doing well. Thanks for your prayers and for sharing this with other heart families.

It is great to see that sweet smile and know that he is all better. He is such a rascal when he comes at me with a squirt bottle. There is no doubt that he is all boy.
Alot of this happiness is because his daddy is home from Beaver.

Oh...glad to see you're feeling better and didn't need the steroids! What a big boy you're turning into!
Glad to hear Matthew is getting over that nasty cold. Adorable pictures.
Well this is the best Valentine card around. Matthew looking adorable in his red pajamas and feeling so much better. I'm so glad he didn't have to have steroids and I know Mom and Dad are too.
Love to all of you. Grandma Sue
There's something so adorable about little ones still a little groggy in their cozy jammies. Great shots of him, he's darling!
Matthew looks like an amazing little boy! I have two daughters (ages 3 and almost 2). Both of them were born with ToF and my oldest also had PA (but thankfully, she was the rare case who has fully developed pulmonary arteries, but is just missing a valve). I hope your little guy continues to thrive!
GLAD TO SEE THAT MAGOO IS FEELING BETTER, I LOVE THE VALENTINE PICTURES. THAT LITTLE MAN DOES NOT TAKE A BAD PICTURE.
MAY GOD BLESS MATTHEW & LITTLE ISAAC
