One boy's long road to recovery. Matthew was born two months premature with a rare fourfold heart defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia and MAPCA's, and Ventricular Septal Defect. He's had two open heart surgeries and will need additional heart surgeries in the future. To appreciate the absolute miracle of this "3 plus million dollar boy", you'd need to look into the "Archives" beginning after his first 9 hr open heart surgery at Stanford, August 2005.

I am STILL SO TICKLED PINK over this...
sooo stinking cute...
I LOVE THAT DENNIS THE MENACE HAIR!!
*giggling*
Wow! What a man! I love his little voice and he is counting so well! Proud parent moment, isn't it?!!!
This video brought tears to my eyes. Matthew is so capable of speaking; but as evidenced in this video it will be at his own pace and in his own time.
Being around other children is definitely a plus for any youngster. It was so worth it for him to be around those children of different ages in Beaver. Children learn so eagerly from other children. I hope his immune system will someday allow him to interact with other children his own age as well.
I think Matthew's A, B,
c's will come as easily as well. He already humms the tune.
Way to go, my sweet lil'l boy, grandma wright

Hey, hey, hey!! That's our boy, McGoo!!
Oh, I'm thrilled. It actually brought tears to my eyes because it's such a great accomplishment. We all know how smart he is and you can see by the way he was counting his fingers. Keep up the great work. He is definitely proud of himself also.
I love you all so much. I can't wait to come and visit.
Love, Grandma Sue
This is so precious, HE can count better than a old East Texas Redneck Known as the chikenherder
