One boy's long road to recovery. Matthew was born two months premature with a rare fourfold heart defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia and MAPCA's, and Ventricular Septal Defect. He's had two open heart surgeries and will need additional heart surgeries in the future. To appreciate the absolute miracle of this "3 plus million dollar boy", you'd need to look into the "Archives" beginning after his first 9 hr open heart surgery at Stanford, August 2005.

Hey mom! dad and I are going out for a little bid. Don't worry, Quixa will take care of us. Matthew loves to go to Uncle Keith's and Auntie Gabrielle's for football. It's wonderful to have family down the street and around the corner. It's just a few rolls of the stroller away. Hi Ho, Hi Ho. Don't get lost guys!!!!!! Love you three. grandma w
Matthew looks excited to be off to Uncle Keith's and Auntie Gabrielle's house. Ever vigilant Quixa is right there to watch over them. The pictures are all so wonderful.
Love, Grandma Sue
