Matthew joining Mike, Mom and I for my 39th birthday *snort* breakfast celebration at Mimi's.
Helping "Dramma" cut up her omelet. Of course he wasn't interested in a bite.
Showing off the sock he put on upside down... *giggling* Not bad for a first time.
Matthew takes showers w/ us, so I bring in toys to keep him busy... BUT, he left me a little present while I was drying my hair... ROFL... I can't stop laughing every time I see this pic. I have a similar pic when Casey was about the same age, except it was in the tub. LOL
Riding a very cool Schwinn tricycle. Thanks Roman for sharing.
Go'in to town on his little Zebra rocking horse his "Dramma" got him last year. *giggling* What a big silly he is. He actually got so crazy that he flipped backwards.... whoa horsey!!!

May God Bless your little soul Colin

A parents worst nightmare. A fear that we "heart families" always have in the back of our minds. (Well, mine and a couple other heart moms that I know.)
Colin w/ his mommy.
Colin w/ his daddy... most likely watching sports on TV!!!
Colin was a superman...there is no doubt about that.

We have posted about Colin in the past. The last post was in March.

Colin passed away unexpectedly on Sunday night. It seemed he was doing so well!!
I am absolutely heartbroken and shocked.

You can read his story here.

If you could, please leave a little message for his wonderful family. I know it would mean a lot to them. Colin had such a loving family.
This is a very touching video that Colin's parents put together of their short life with Colin,
to the song "The Dance" by Garth Brooks.
I can't help but smile when I think of what my fellow "heart mom" friend (Kathy, mommy to Isaac) used to call Colin...
Mr. Serious.

Dear friends of ours

This is Diane and her three little monkeys... Kenny, Kannon & Roman (just look at that hair!) ... Diane and her husband are a huge reason we decided to have a baby... she was pregnant with the twins when we decided to go ahead and try for a baby of our own. Mom, Kim and I were out shopping for her baby shower gift and Mom said..."Ohhhh, you and Mike should have a baby!!!"... and Kim is saying..."Ohhh, you should!!".... so we did!!

Look at those little munchkin faces!!!! This is the sweetest family you could ever meet. Those are the kindest, most loving little boys!! They get it from their mommy Diane. Diane has the most infectious laugh... and Roman now has that laugh.
Matthew just didn't know WHAT to do when Kenny came to "give him some love".. hee hee

Well well well, what do we have here?

I was in the back room for only a couple minutes and this is what I came out to see.

Being his fathers son, he figured out how to climb up on the counter. Hum.. I'm not saying that Mike walks on the counters or anything... just that he's very resourceful.

I just had to brag about this cabin a little bit. Mike and their neighbor Tim have done such an amazing job building this cabin. Everytime I think about their work, I am so impressed. Then when I actually see it ... oh my heavens, it is just unbelievable!! Terri may not lift a hammer, but she keeps the boys' tummies full, their britches clean, and handles all the interference with the water rights folks, insurance agencies, etc. Not to mention chasing Magoo all over the place!! We are so blessed. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life enjoying the fruits of their labor.

Matthew and "Fluffy" the cat.... Fluffy loves Matthew!!

Our little "doo rag" dude. He was so proud of his little "doo rag"... just like his Uncle Tim.
