One boy's long road to recovery. Matthew was born two months premature with a rare fourfold heart defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia and MAPCA's, and Ventricular Septal Defect. He's had two open heart surgeries and will need additional heart surgeries in the future. To appreciate the absolute miracle of this "3 plus million dollar boy", you'd need to look into the "Archives" beginning after his first 9 hr open heart surgery at Stanford, August 2005.

It was good to see mommy laughing and having such a fun time with her family. Matthew had plenty of babysitters to give her some relaxation for a change. Matthew is very comfortable with all his family members and readily goes from one to the other. Auntie Gabrielle and Auntie Kim stayed with him while he attempted to climb the stairs. Oh boy! I can just imagine what the Christmas Feast will bring. I can see now that gates will be going up as our little climber attempts the big flight of stairs. Glub!!!! Matthew is very quick and knows the speed of the crowd. Have another sip, mommy, you deserve it! Love my King Trio, grandma w

I miss you all and and so happy that you have such a great family.
