Parenting a Medically Complex Child

"The stresses of parenting a child without medical conditions certainly exist, and they’re real and valid. For parents dealing with medically complex children, those typical worries still exist, but they have to take a back burner to more basic, primal needs that keep the child alive."

Matthew's about ready for a new conduit.

Matthew is scheduled for a heart cath on Feb. 26th over at Sunrise.
Doctor Mayman told my sister and I that it's about time for a new conduit.
Get rid of the Melody Valve (He's had that since Feb. 2013)
and the old conduit that had been infected back in 2015.  Last open heart, conduit change was March 2006... so we've had a good run all these years.
Matthew has grown and gotten so much bigger... time for a new valve.
Doc told us to prepare for about summer. *Update* We will most likely find out more on Tuesday, March 5th as the cardiologists will meet Monday afternoon for a conference to decide when.
