One boy's long road to recovery. Matthew was born two months premature with a rare fourfold heart defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia and MAPCA's, and Ventricular Septal Defect. He's had two open heart surgeries and will need additional heart surgeries in the future. To appreciate the absolute miracle of this "3 plus million dollar boy", you'd need to look into the "Archives" beginning after his first 9 hr open heart surgery at Stanford, August 2005.

Matthew, your uncle Keith is a "softy" at heart. Don't let the football talk scare you away. Uncle Keith has taken football seriously since he was a child. Sunday's mood depended heavily on whether his team won or not. As the twig is bent, so shall the tree grow........ Matthew has so much fun at Uncle Keith and Auntie Gabrielle's house. Football with the guys is a real treat. Hope this is a "lifetime" habit for all of you.... Love you two, grandma wright
Matthew is kind of wondering what Uncle Keith is up to. I'm sure this ended in a great big hug. Great family pictures. It's so nice to have family so close by.
Love, Grandma Sue
