One boy's long road to recovery. Matthew was born two months premature with a rare fourfold heart defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia and MAPCA's, and Ventricular Septal Defect. He's had two open heart surgeries and will need additional heart surgeries in the future. To appreciate the absolute miracle of this "3 plus million dollar boy", you'd need to look into the "Archives" beginning after his first 9 hr open heart surgery at Stanford, August 2005.

Matthew is a busy little boy. You mean Matthew "has" a bedtime.......???? Matthew hates to waste a moment of "playtime". He just walks or crawls from toy to toy, and expends every ounce of energy in his body. Just when you think he is about to poop out, this "everready" battery just keeps on going. On Thursday, Matthew spent about 45 minutes just walking around the living room and checking out everything. When he would stop at a chair, couch, coffee table, he would place both hands on the object and just twiddle his fingers and then move on. This little boy knows that he is loved and is so entertaining. I can't remember what "I" did without him. Matthew is such a big part of my life now and I think he "knows it". Ha Ha Love you my little playmate, grandma w
