One boy's long road to recovery. Matthew was born two months premature with a rare fourfold heart defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia and MAPCA's, and Ventricular Septal Defect. He's had two open heart surgeries and will need additional heart surgeries in the future. To appreciate the absolute miracle of this "3 plus million dollar boy", you'd need to look into the "Archives" beginning after his first 9 hr open heart surgery at Stanford, August 2005.

You're funny Nesi....
I know that you know I don't drink ...I'm quite a lightweight (drinking wise that is) I did have a couple yummy Burgundy Punches w/ lime slices .... but it was sooo full of grenadine, lime juice and sweet and sour.. that I didn't really taste the burgundy...
It's a huge hit around here!

It definitely brings back those memories. You and cousin Jimmy running through the house and I grabbed you for a quick photo. You still have the same smile. I absolutely love this picture and the happiness on Matthew's face brings such joy to my heart. What fun.
I love you all. Mom (Grandma Sue)
