One boy's long road to recovery. Matthew was born two months premature with a rare fourfold heart defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia and MAPCA's, and Ventricular Septal Defect. He's had two open heart surgeries and will need additional heart surgeries in the future. To appreciate the absolute miracle of this "3 plus million dollar boy", you'd need to look into the "Archives" beginning after his first 9 hr open heart surgery at Stanford, August 2005.

Okay.. I won't say anything about you getting the adorable Mary Jane shoes and me getting the clunky Sride Rites...
LOL
I knew you wouldn't be able to resist, Terri!! LOL
Aren't those the cutest kids. Those red shoes were very expensive corrective shoes. It would have been much cheaper to put you in a Mary Jane; but we wanted you to grow up perfect. You used those heavy shoes as weapons when you were young. They had steel shanks and are probably illegal these days with all the safety features. Ha Ha
Clearly someone got a good deal on tartan in the weeks leading up to this photo.
The pictures of Magoo are precious.
about the shoes ,In 65 I had a ugly pair that looked similar to them. They were called combat boots.
LOL
Combat boots... that's not helping much, Crabby.
But it looks like Terri got the better hair cut. LOL
What adorable kids! I feel your shoe pain, my feet have have made it necessary to wear sensible shoes.
Y'all are the most entertaining family I know!! "Auntie Kim", you did good on this one!
