One boy's long road to recovery. Matthew was born two months premature with a rare fourfold heart defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia and MAPCA's, and Ventricular Septal Defect. He's had two open heart surgeries and will need additional heart surgeries in the future. To appreciate the absolute miracle of this "3 plus million dollar boy", you'd need to look into the "Archives" beginning after his first 9 hr open heart surgery at Stanford, August 2005.

Well Matthew looks like he's having fun and the doctor does also. She looks like she has the right personality to work with little children. Matthew is so adorable, how could you help not just loving him and wanting to see him so happy.
Great pictures.
Love, Grandma Sue
Matthew is quite the big boy. He loves for you to give him one on one attention. Pretty soon that will be a chess set on the table. He has a great memory.........
Love you Number 12!!!! grandma wright
Where are you taking him to speech therapy? We are taking Luke to the Henderson Speech, Hearing and Language center. They've taught us a lot of great things. Cute pictures!
