One boy's long road to recovery. Matthew was born two months premature with a rare fourfold heart defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia and MAPCA's, and Ventricular Septal Defect. He's had two open heart surgeries and will need additional heart surgeries in the future. To appreciate the absolute miracle of this "3 plus million dollar boy", you'd need to look into the "Archives" beginning after his first 9 hr open heart surgery at Stanford, August 2005.

Oh, how fun is this! He looks like he's ready to sing to everyone. I can't wait to see him again and it will be wonderful to hear what he has to say. I'm sure we will all be anxious to hear what he's thinking with all those cute expressions.
I just love him.

Matthew has always loved music. Being sung to has always brought about a smile under the worst of circumstances. Now when he pushes a button that contains a song, he watches everyone to make sure they are singing along too. Babysitting for Matthew is more fun than it should be. He entertains me with his antics to the point that we miss nap times. He is like the "Everready Battery". He just keeps going and going............ He is a busy little boy and covers a great deal of territory in a short period of time. Just look at that face. He is all boy and nobody will ever kick sand in his face. That you can take to the bank, folks. LOL Love you my little song bird, grandma w
