Matthew weighed in this morning at 22lbs 5 ounces which is up nearly a pound from last month. Unfortunately, he is no better when it comes to eating. As you can see in these two pictures, it is a struggle to feed him via the bottle. He has become quite adept at pushing it away. Most of his nutrition is still delivered through his feeding tube.

I wish chocolate would help!!
We've tried chocolate....
whipped cream, mashed potatoes, ice cream.....nothing works... that is actually vanilla flavored complete nutrition that is pretty tasty....
He just won't take anything by mouth.
Now "this trait" he did not inherit from my side of the family. Ha Ha
Getting food down Matthew can be quite challenging and frustrating. Matthew has a mind of his own and is as determined to push food away as he is in getting better. Too bad they both go hand in hand. Love you sweet baby! grandma w
How frustrating that must be. THankfully, it is not something we had to deal with after surgery, but I have lots of friends who have endured the same struggle. Hoping and praying that he will come around as quickly as possilbe.
