The suffering Matthew endured yesterday overshadowed the good news. While Matthew's kidney test showed that his bladder can back up into his left kidney, the doctors said that is common and not terribly worrisome. Also, Matthew had his "Barium smoothie" and this time was able to protect his airway and did not aspirate the fluid into his lungs. Terri and I are excited because, as a result, he will be given some bottle feeds today. I hope to get some photos of that to share with all of you. I know that we will never take bottle feeding for granted after months of feeding Matthew through a tube.
