I just received a call from Terri. She is at Matthew's bedside for his kidney test and reports that things are not getting off to a good start. To complete this test the doctors must insert a catheter into Matthew's penis, fill his bladder with fluid, then check to see if the fluid back flows into his kidneys. This would be of concern since he recently had a urinary tract infection. Well, as soon as they inserted the catheter (in his recently circumcised and very tender manhood) and turned on the fluid they noticed a leak in the system and had to remove and reinsert a new catheter. Terri says Matthew is just miserable and is making his displeasure known to all. Once this test is over he gets to drink everyone's favorite beverage�radio active Barium. We are hoping that he will show improvement from the last time this test was performed. You may remember he aspirated the Barium into his lungs proving that he couldn't protect his airway.
