One boy's long road to recovery. Matthew was born two months premature with a rare fourfold heart defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia and MAPCA's, and Ventricular Septal Defect. He's had two open heart surgeries and will need additional heart surgeries in the future. To appreciate the absolute miracle of this "3 plus million dollar boy", you'd need to look into the "Archives" beginning after his first 9 hr open heart surgery at Stanford, August 2005.

Boy is daddy right with hhiscomment. Matthew plays hardy with great enthusiasm. Many a nap has been missed when grandma w babysits. He knows that being extra special "cute" will buy him time. His pretend cry cracks me up. Bedtime has even become a big game thanks to mommy and her peek-a-boo game. LOL
When Matthew squeals with laughter, it penetrates deep into my heart. I often stand and watch this little angel sleep when I finally do get him snoozing. It is a visual prayer that brings the deepest gratification for God's Blessing and Mercy.
The look on daddy's face says it all. These two have earned the right to be "happy". Go for it! Knock yourselves out, fella! Love ya, grandma w
There's my happy boys. You both look so happy and are having so much fun. Matthew loves playing with Michael & Terri and obviously you both feel the same. What a wonderful picture.
Love, Mom (Grandma Sue)
