One boy's long road to recovery. Matthew was born two months premature with a rare fourfold heart defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia and MAPCA's, and Ventricular Septal Defect. He's had two open heart surgeries and will need additional heart surgeries in the future. To appreciate the absolute miracle of this "3 plus million dollar boy", you'd need to look into the "Archives" beginning after his first 9 hr open heart surgery at Stanford, August 2005.

Uh.....YA....
I couldn't help but notice that patch of mildew stain under the soap dish ... well... that's permanent ... we can't get that off no matter what we do .... so, don't think we're gross or anything... Maybe we better reseal the tub huh!
MIIKKKKEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!
Absolutely adorable! I didn't have a chance to watch it earlier but I was happy to see that Ricky, erm, I mean Mike was able to fix it. hehe I couldn't help but giggle watching that sweet little boy having his baths. Some of the looks he gives are precious!
I wonder how Matthew feels having the paparatzi after him all the time? ;)
Oh honey, the camera is my canvas. I cannot help what it picks up. We have redone several rooms in our house. The bathrooms and master bedroom are next (in all of our spare time).
You two worry too much. Your house looks sooooo much better than mine. lol! Besides, we're looking at the baby, not any tiny bit of mildew!
Oh, and I just showed Jessica, Karl (my hubby) and Austin (my 11yr old son) the video. They all enjoyed it and NOT ONE of them said anything about any mildew. LOL! In fact, I'll have to watch it for the 4th time just to see if I can find what you are even talking about. lol
Wow, I am able to add a comment on "this new Blog". The one that mysteriously disappeared on Terri would not allow me to comment. I was afraid I was going to die from "undelivered speech"...snicker, snicker
This movie is adorable and depicts the many facial expressions of our talented little guy. I just so happen to love Bobby Darren too. Michael has a talent of matching up the right song with the right set of pictures. by the way, that's my age screaming out from under the makeup. I was once young too!
Matthew will get the hang of the big tub one of these days, and then he will cry when he has to get out. Maybe it was the "mildew" that was scaring him and the reason he was crying????? LOL
OMG! Could that boy be cuter?!
Underwear Girl sent me over. Please let us know what we can do to further the cause of insurance coverage for families--especially children.
It's a travesty that you are having to go through this. Your husband protects your fellow citizens, yet the same people who expect his protection won't protect your son?! It's an insult!
mildew can be deadly, actually/
Ok, I'm going to end the evening with Splish Splash, Matthew in the bath. It has been fun.
Love to all of you.
Grandma Sue
I used to sing that song to Violet (now 7) when she was little and taking a bath! That was cute!
