One boy's long road to recovery. Matthew was born two months premature with a rare fourfold heart defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia and MAPCA's, and Ventricular Septal Defect. He's had two open heart surgeries and will need additional heart surgeries in the future. To appreciate the absolute miracle of this "3 plus million dollar boy", you'd need to look into the "Archives" beginning after his first 9 hr open heart surgery at Stanford, August 2005.

Wow, my two handsome boys. I love you both so much. Grandma Dunphy could always make you smile, Michael and now Matthew is doing the same.
Love, Mom (Grandma Sue)
It's odd that you don't realise it until you see an old picture - we were watching some old family movies during Xmas - so old, that they were on a projector, without sound! Anyway, my lesser half, Jo, was running around as a 2-3 year old monkey, and she was the very double of Tamsyn. We sat looking at it thinking "My goodness, that IS Tam".
Poor girl, we know how she'll turn out now ;)
Matthew and his dad both have the same happiness exuding from all pores of their bodies. Matthew, without a doubt, has his daddy's eyes and shape face. I can't think of a better role model than Michael, can you? Love you boys, grandma w
