A Day at Grandma's
Mommy brought Matthew over to Grandma & Grandpa Wright's house today for a visit. He had a blast exploring the backyard and playing with the doggies.

One boy's long road to recovery. Matthew was born two months premature with a rare fourfold heart defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia and MAPCA's, and Ventricular Septal Defect. He's had two open heart surgeries and will need additional heart surgeries in the future. To appreciate the absolute miracle of this "3 plus million dollar boy", you'd need to look into the "Archives" beginning after his first 9 hr open heart surgery at Stanford, August 2005.

Terri did a great job taking these photos!
This was the very first time Matthew had walked in grass... it was such fun. He loved playing my parents doggies, Moose (can you tell which one is Moose??)and Mr. Higgins. He investigated mom's house and yard for 3 hours ~ wore me out!
Terri took some terrific "action" shots of a little boy who never stopped in "three hours" of continuous movement. Needless-to-say, I overslept this a.m. Ha Ha.
Matthew had run of the house with the exception of the "stairs". He roamed roomed to room jabbering and squealing with sheer delight. Did I ever mention on this Blog how much I "love" this little boy????
The slide presentation that Michael created is perfect for these action shots. It moves about in the same manner as our little hero, zig zag.
Miss Moose absolutely "loves" Matthew and is very affectionate with him. She never made a sound on several occasions when she got her nose pinched or her ears pulled.. ouch. Mr. Higgins is quite the gentleman and let Matthew touch him "under close supervision"...hummmmm Matthew was very gentle with all the animals. Lacey just took to her hiding place as she "remembers" all the previous grandchildren his age. Tee Hee.
Lots of fun days to look forward to and plenty of sunshine. Love you my "King Trio" and all the happiness you have given me. Grandma Wright
Love the pictures, and love the slide-thingy :) Very nice, and well done Matthew - all of ours hated their first grass experience!
What great photos. It's so great to see him doing so well. You really can't tell that he's lived through so much already. Looks like a perfectly normal kid enjoying a perfectly normal day.
YES... HE IS DOING GREAT... we are thrilled..... we are so blessed...
Dang it though... the little bugger came down w/ a fever last night... keeping him loaded up w/ Tylenol/Motrin..
not sure if it's those darn molars in the back .. or a virus.... we always have to keep his kidney reflux in the back of our mind...
so... keeping a close eye.... Right now he's being cuddly and needy....
Oh what a fun day a Gramma's house. Matthew loves doggies!!
He's so beautiful and so vibrant! This makes me happy to see! Thank you!
Hello everyone...
"girl in her underwear" just found that her little girl has a congenital heart defect and will need surgery soon.
Hey Denise...
Casey showed me that if you click on a picture that you like...
you it will stop and make it bigger.....
Good slide show guys and excellent grass experience ... yes .. we had some fun with grass (and sand as we live 200 metres from the beach).
Sorry to Girlinherunderwear for the news they have just been diagnosed with CHD. We wish them all the best and hope the chd 'online' community is able to provide some information and support.
The Special Zipper
This little boy is precious! I am impressed with the slide show. I have never seen anything like that before! Very cute!!!!!!!
What great pics!! I love the slide show, I'm going to have to try it on Brayden's blog (if I can figure it out!) Matthew looks like he is having a blast :)
That is one gorgeous little boy.
Thank you for visiting me and commenting and thank you for sharing such beautiful little life with me...here on your blog.
I will be back to check out more pictures...:)
I love, love, LOVE the slideshow! After watching the little video of him roaming around the house (set to the music of run run rudolf) this slideshow really does that sweet little boy justice. He is so full of life and really loves to explore, doesn't he? Those are awesome pictures, Terri. Most of the time when I try to take pictures of people in action the pictures end up blurry. You have the ligthing just right on all of them too. ;-)
Not one of my kids liked their first grass experience. How cool is that the Matthew loved it?!
