Casey having his heart procedure today

Update: I just got home ... it's 4:15pm. Well, the surgeon was not able to get the results he wanted. He and another surgeon spent 2 1/2 hours working on him. That's all I know for now. We are disappointed. It sounded to me as if this is just something he'll just live with. Before the surgery, he did say the node was in a tricky spot. When the nurse came out after an hour and a half, she said "it" was being a "real booger". Will know more later. Casey is doing fine, just nauseated ~ poor kid.
Today at 9am, Casey is having an ablation. This is a procedure that can be done via catheter in the cath lab.

This is going to be a re~do from a previous attempt in December.

Please say a little prayer that all goes well.

My oldest son, Casey

I will be back sometime tonight with an update on my oldest son's heart surgery. It is called a catheter ablation, they go up thru an artery in his leg and laser off a node or the thick part of his ventricle. (Hope I explained that right.)

I am up and getting ready now while Matthew is sleeping. My mom is coming over to play w/ Matthew while we all go hang out at the hospital. We need to be at "patient waiting" by 11 am. As soon as the doctor is finished w/ his previous patient, he'll take Casey back. They say surgery can be 2 to 6 hours ... then he needs to hang out for several hours after because they are going up thru a main artery. We are expecting an easy fix.

*big sigh*

Here we go.

I hate/dread being in hospitals. It makes my heart hurt thinking of it. This is the same hospital that Matthew (and Mike and I) spent three months of his little life. Ugh.. brings back weird feelings.

KUDDO'S TO CASEY!

Casey called us today with some wonderful news!

The bank has accepted an offer ~ and he has qualified
for his very first home here in Las Vegas... well, actually Henderson.

If all goes well, he will officially be a homeowner on March 30th.

He deserves this so much, he has worked so hard! He started working when he was 15 years old.
While attending college, he worked a full time job. He graduated from UNLV last December with a degree in Criminal Justice.

He has been a "saver" his whole life and is very responsible with his money.

All of his hard work and dedication has paid off and now my first baby will be a homeowner!!

I am so proud of him.
