One boy's long road to recovery. Matthew was born two months premature with a rare fourfold heart defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia and MAPCA's, and Ventricular Septal Defect. He's had two open heart surgeries and will need additional heart surgeries in the future. To appreciate the absolute miracle of this "3 plus million dollar boy", you'd need to look into the "Archives" beginning after his first 9 hr open heart surgery at Stanford, August 2005.

I was so bummed...
he looks like he has bitter beer face... and I was chasing him around w/ that camera...
but the gosh darn thing wouldn't focus!!!!!!!!!!
It's a good thing it wasn't a cliff or I would have walked right off it.
This is the face I mentioned in my previous comment. I call it his "piggy face". He actually snorts when he does this. We get lots of facial exercise when we play this little game. He laughs at mine as much as I laugh at his. It's a mutual admiration society.
Matthew is so quick with his mannerisms that it would be hard to catch all of them. You would need a camera in your hand all the time. There is no doubt, this one loved little boy!!!!! grandma wright
Yep... he does this look a lot. It hurt my "feelers" when he did it right after I kissed him. Little stinker!!
He is losing that baby look. What a cute little man!
About a third of my photos are like this, but with scary devil red eye that I can't get out! Be glad he still comes across innocent thru the blur... Liam not so lucky.
