We'll be taking Matthew to a diagnostic center at 7:30 am for a "gastric emptying study" ~ we are still trying to find out what is causing his retching. The upper GI he had a couple weeks ago didn't show anything was wrong w/ his stomach ... and the fundo hadn't slipped. We were happy about that! They were unable to do an "esophagram" because he doesn't take anything by mouth. That was too bad, we were all very curious what that might have showed.
The test after this will be an "endoscopy" where they take a peek down his throat, they will put him "out" for that.

I am dreading this test tomorrow probably as much as mommy and daddy. Matthew is so adorably sweet and jovial that I cringe when I think they need to tie you down and force a tube down your nose. Since you won't swallow, it "has to be" done.
Mommy pointed out something that I had forgotten or put in the back of my brain; but this "is" going to be the medical hell that Matthew will be going through all his life. I pray each day that medical technology advances for him where his tests will not be so physical and stressful for him.
God has listened to our prayers so far, please join me in my prayers for Matthew. There is strength in unity.
Be cool tomorrow, little Matthew, as you are about everything delt to you so far. God has given you a wonderful disposition that will help you cope with the future. Let's just take one step at a time same as before. It has worked so far!!!!! Love you sweet baby, grandma wright

Good luck and many hugs...
I'll be praying for you two tomorrow! I hope you are able to find answers!
Lots of hugs and prayers going your way. Miss Jess has been through some of those tests - the most recent was an endoscopy. I know these tests aren't fun and I hope they are able to find and treat the cause of Matthew's "retching". He's a sweet little guy. I'll be checking on your blog to see how things go.
izzy has had multible airway (ENT) scopes all hers had surgery during them, she was alseep for them all. the last one with her surgery and all she was playing in the crib hours after the surgery. we hope that he is up playing after too:) we will keep you in our thoughts and prayers for a safe study and some answers:)
Hey... thanks you guys for all the kind and reassuring words....
Mike and I are very much dreading this test... like we dread all the tests...
as you ALL KNOW...
it's just so hard to see you child go thru anything unpleasant.
I am just trying to keep my chin up and erase from my mind when I think of it and just get it over with...
I am dreading tomorrow... :-(
I'm so sorry that Matthew has to go through more tests as we all remember back to those times. If it means he will be able to eat and not have the retching, it will be a positive thing. I will be praying for all 3 of you as you go through this and know we can look forward to the laughter and fun times that follow.
I love you all so much. Mom (Grandma Sue)
Praying for little Matthew today. ~heart hugs
Mike will be posting soon w/ some pictures... BUT I HAD TO SAY:
