One boy's long road to recovery. Matthew was born two months premature with a rare fourfold heart defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia and MAPCA's, and Ventricular Septal Defect. He's had two open heart surgeries and will need additional heart surgeries in the future. To appreciate the absolute miracle of this "3 plus million dollar boy", you'd need to look into the "Archives" beginning after his first 9 hr open heart surgery at Stanford, August 2005.

Well, our little Mountain Man is definitely dressed for the occasion. He looks so cute and so grown up. It looks like he had a wonderful time with Mommy, Daddy & Quixa. Margo & Hank did a great job picking the right books for our little hero. I'm sure it brings joy to their hearts to see Matthew looking so wonderful.
I love you so much. Grandma Sue
Matthew is no "hot house" child. He loves the outdoors like his dad and mom and Quixa. No matter how big Matthew gets, there will always be a sweet innocence the camera will capture. Look at that precious face. He "knows" he is the center of mommy and daddy's attention and an important lil dude. Margo and Hank you "done good". Love you sweet baby! grandma w
