One boy's long road to recovery. Matthew was born two months premature with a rare fourfold heart defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia and MAPCA's, and Ventricular Septal Defect. He's had two open heart surgeries and will need additional heart surgeries in the future. To appreciate the absolute miracle of this "3 plus million dollar boy", you'd need to look into the "Archives" beginning after his first 9 hr open heart surgery at Stanford, August 2005.

Well he finally got Daddy's hat. Looks pretty good too. He's not too sure though. Cute picture.
love, Grandma Sue
Matthew does look a little in "awe" of trying to fill such an important hat like his dad's. This is Matthew' "proud to be you, dad, look. Well, It's daddy's shoes that will turn Matthew into the "real man" like his dad. Look at that precious face.
Matthew just loves his daddy. Watching those two is so heart warming. It's a real love affair. When his daddy walks into the room, Matthew just squeals and crawls after him.
Daddy and mommy have earned Matthew's admiration. The King Trio have been through the fire and are stronger, loving people because of it.
Love you my wonderful family, grandma w
