One boy's long road to recovery. Matthew was born two months premature with a rare fourfold heart defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia and MAPCA's, and Ventricular Septal Defect. He's had two open heart surgeries and will need additional heart surgeries in the future. To appreciate the absolute miracle of this "3 plus million dollar boy", you'd need to look into the "Archives" beginning after his first 9 hr open heart surgery at Stanford, August 2005.

What a big Boy! on his way to get into everything and everywhere :) Way to go Matthew!
I haven't been by in a while, but I love looking at all the pics posted since I was last able to stop by. Look at him standing!! What a big boy :)
Matthew looks like Lance Burton performing a magic act. One of these days he is just going to take off and surprise everyone when his is not where he was last left. Hey, this little guy is ready to rock & roll. Ali Hazelwood left her mark on her little friend. Matthew figures if a "girl" can do "he" can do it too. Sort of like if you show me what you can do, I'll show you what I can do way of thinking. I cleaned it up a bit. Thanks Ali for the nudge! ha ha
Now you put your right foot out and then the left foot out, but don't shake it all about just "right now".
Love you sweet baby! grandma w
Oh my gosh, he's off and running now. Good Boy! We knew it wouldn't be too long until you figured this standing thing out.
Every day is a joy just looking at his progress. I love you all so much.
Grandma Sue
