One year ago today Matthew had his first open heart surgery at UC Stanford. We thought we would post some pictures to reminisce all that Matthew has gone through.

Although difficult to see, these pictures show just how far Matthew has come in only one year. He is our Miracle Baby and so loved and cherished by all. Janet is so right about the prayers so many people said for Matthew. With her Nannigrams, she kept the lifeline going for all of us who waited for any word. There were some very low points, which made the good news even better. To see Matthew today, you wouldn't even know the challenges he faced and overcame. He is a little "Brave Heart" for sure and is a joy to behold. Michael & Terri have lived up to the challenges then and even now. It must bring joy to their hearts to see this adorable little boy today and knowing that their love and care (along with the doctors, of course)have made it possible for Matthew to be the healthy boy he is. He's getting ready to start running soon. He is definitely all boy.

I love you all so much and thank God every day for brining us this special joy to our lives.
