One boy's long road to recovery. Matthew was born two months premature with a rare fourfold heart defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia and MAPCA's, and Ventricular Septal Defect. He's had two open heart surgeries and will need additional heart surgeries in the future. To appreciate the absolute miracle of this "3 plus million dollar boy", you'd need to look into the "Archives" beginning after his first 9 hr open heart surgery at Stanford, August 2005.

Michael & Terri,
I apologize if this is a duplicate entry, but I don't see my previous post from yesterday.
Michael, I haven't met you yet...well, actually, I haven't met Terri yet, either. But, I already consider Terri a great friend. Terri, your amazing strength helped get me and my husband, Michael, through are hardest days - the days at Lucille Packard. Without ever having met me, you called me up and talked to me like you were my closest friend and for that I am forever thankful. The strength, spirit, and faith of the King trio shines in your pictures. It is those very qualitites that will speed Matthew's recovery. We can't wait until you are back in Vegas and we can have little Matthew over for playdates with our Keira. - Lori O'Leary
Lori,
Thank you for that.
You made my day!! I will call you when I get home..
Thank you!
Terri
