One boy's long road to recovery. Matthew was born two months premature with a rare fourfold heart defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia and MAPCA's, and Ventricular Septal Defect. He's had two open heart surgeries and will need additional heart surgeries in the future.
To appreciate the absolute miracle of this "3 plus million dollar boy", you'd need to look into the "Archives" beginning after his first 9 hr open heart surgery at Stanford, August 2005.

Matthew hugging his new little girlie friend in Beaver, this is Kayla! Tim & Tanji's little neice.
I think Matthew hugging his new friend is sweet. He is quite the little man these days. I love and appreciate is phone calls. They are always so focused on his favorite toy. Ha Ha
It's so great to see him playing with the other kids and even a hug. Of course the second picture is to let us know he is still "Bob the Builder" (actually Matthew)and not too sure about the girly hugs.
He is adorable and I can wait to see him. The cabin looks wonderful. What a great job.
