One boy's long road to recovery. Matthew was born two months premature with a rare fourfold heart defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia and MAPCA's, and Ventricular Septal Defect. He's had two open heart surgeries and will need additional heart surgeries in the future.
To appreciate the absolute miracle of this "3 plus million dollar boy", you'd need to look into the "Archives" beginning after his first 9 hr open heart surgery at Stanford, August 2005.
It was a wonderful Christmas and the last Christmas we will all be together as a family. Uncle Keith, Mike and Matthew's football buddy, has accepted a job with the DOE in Germantown Maryland and will be leaving in January 2009. Our hearts are heavy and he will surely be missed.
Looks like Matthew was in heaven! What cute pictures, I'm glad you managed to hang on on the carosel. Hope you had a Merry Christmas! I'm so sorry we missed your joint call. 3 out of 6 of my siblings live far away, it's sad!
Looking forward to spending Christmas day with you guys (especially the Goo Man)!
