One boy's long road to recovery. Matthew was born two months premature with a rare fourfold heart defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia and MAPCA's, and Ventricular Septal Defect. He's had two open heart surgeries and will need additional heart surgeries in the future.
To appreciate the absolute miracle of this "3 plus million dollar boy", you'd need to look into the "Archives" beginning after his first 9 hr open heart surgery at Stanford, August 2005.

Matthew getting a buzz
It was haircut night at the Baxter's. Matthew got his first "buzz"... he did real good and Uncle Timmy did a great job! Mike cut his hairs that night, too!! Not only is Tim a MASTER with a chainsaw, he's the master of the hairclippers as well.
Please note the watchful eyes of his friend, Taylor. Matthew loves the Baxters and as it has become his second home.
I too hated to see that beautifulhead of hair buzzed; but it is cooler and easier to keep in the summertime.
Matthew loves the water abnd it IS in the triple digits here in Las Vegas. It gets hot in Beaver too; but never in the triple digits. To me hot is hot. Love you guys, grandma wright
