One of our favorite radio broadcasts is Focus on the Family with Dr. James Dobson. They are a great organization and we get a lot of our family books and videos from them. On December 7th we were profiled on one of their radio broadcasts. The main broadcast was on "White House Traditions", but if you CLICK HERE, then click "play audio", and fast forward to 21:50, you can hear a 5 minute phone interview where I discuss the impact their broadcasts have had on our family.
One boy's long road to recovery. Matthew was born two months premature with a rare fourfold heart defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia and MAPCA's, and Ventricular Septal Defect. He's had two open heart surgeries and will need additional heart surgeries in the future. To appreciate the absolute miracle of this "3 plus million dollar boy", you'd need to look into the "Archives" beginning after his first 9 hr open heart surgery at Stanford, August 2005.

I wasn't smart enough to follow your directions and hear your 5 min. broadcast; but I "DO KNOW" that you have put Christ in your Life and that it does govern your everyday words and actions.
ReplyDeleteIt is not so much what people say; but the example of their actions that manifest Christ in one's life. The King Trio has been blessed 100 times over as proven by the young man asleep in your lap.
I'm proud of all of you! Love grandma wright
That was a privilege to hear, thank you so much for sharing that. The goodness and love you three have is evident. I have loved getting to know you all through the blogs.
ReplyDeleteI actually think they start to bring up Mike's name at 22:00 minutes.....
ReplyDeleteGood job Mike.
You have such a great voice.
I've always loved your voice.
Very well done my son. You have so much love in your heart for your family and you and Terri have been blessed with Matthew for sure and he with you. It was a wonderful broadcast.
ReplyDeleteLove to all of you. Mom (Grandma Sue)
I finally got to hear your broadcast, Michael. It was so sincere because you were speaking from the heart.
ReplyDeleteIt made me go back to that trip home only to have to put Matthew in the hospital in Las Vegas with pneumonia. He was a sick little boy; but God pulled him through due to all the prayers.
How lonely life would be without "Him". Happy New Year's Eve! Love grandma wright
