One boy's long road to recovery. Matthew was born two months premature with a rare fourfold heart defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia and MAPCA's, and Ventricular Septal Defect. He's had two open heart surgeries and will need additional heart surgeries in the future.
To appreciate the absolute miracle of this "3 plus million dollar boy", you'd need to look into the "Archives" beginning after his first 9 hr open heart surgery at Stanford, August 2005.

Men at Work
Matthew loves to help us do our crunches. We growl at each other like lions when we come face-to-face.
Matthew is learning some pretty good exercise habits from his parents. It is wonderful they let him participate and feel a part of this process.
The look on Matthew's face shows how seriously he takes the crunches. It's too bad I can't get the results by just "watching". My eyes don't even get stronger.......... Ha ha
ok, you guys are too cute!! I jog with izzy in the play pen next to the treadmill and she stands and watches me, plays with ehr toys and dances to the music:) lol now I need to do sit ups with her:)
I love all the photos I have missed this past while. I hope the little guy is feeling better and getting over his lung bug ok. Now that we are finally all on the mend (knock on wood that nothing comes back, heh) I should be around more. :)
