Matthew's Blog

One boy's long road to recovery. Matthew was born two months premature with a rare fourfold heart defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia and MAPCA's, and Ventricular Septal Defect. He's had two open heart surgeries and will need additional heart surgeries in the future. To appreciate the absolute miracle of this "3 plus million dollar boy", you'd need to look into the "Archives" beginning after his first 9 hr open heart surgery at Stanford, August 2005.

I am testing this slide show feature with past pictures from the blog. I thought it would be great for photos that follow a theme but are too similar to be individually posted. I would also like to have a perpetual slide show on the left side of your screen but I have yet to figure out how to do that.

I forgot how tiny Matthew was...
he's grown so.... he's sure come a long way from being born 2 months premature, weighing in at 4lbs 1oz... and being so fragile...
He's a miracle... that's for sure.
