One boy's long road to recovery. Matthew was born two months premature with a rare fourfold heart defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia and MAPCA's, and Ventricular Septal Defect. He's had two open heart surgeries and will need additional heart surgeries in the future.
To appreciate the absolute miracle of this "3 plus million dollar boy", you'd need to look into the "Archives" beginning after his first 9 hr open heart surgery at Stanford, August 2005.

I'm going to have a talk with Grandma Wright about reading Calvin & Hobbes to Matthew. I think it's having a negative effect on his picture posing.
Hey, ease up on Calvin and Hobbes. They know how to live life to the fullest!!!!! Matthew has learned the fine art of "picking a winner" in the loogie patch. Ha Ha. I recently heard the reason why there are so many spoiled kids is because you can't spank grandparents. Tee Hee Tee Hee. Love you my sweet little mimic, grandma w
Here's my nose, here are my eyes, etc. I don't really see anything wrong with that. I guess I'm a Calvin & Hobbs fan also. Plus, us Grandmas have to stick together.
