One boy's long road to recovery. Matthew was born two months premature with a rare fourfold heart defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia and MAPCA's, and Ventricular Septal Defect. He's had two open heart surgeries and will need additional heart surgeries in the future.

Summer, the Hazelwood's loyal companion, came over to console Matthew.
Dogs really are Man's best friend. They show up just at the right time to make everything better. Matthew has a way with dogs it seems. They all want to be close by him.
Matthew loves the soft ears of dogs. Look at the "look of love" in Matthew's eyes. What a tender moment captured in time. Matthew looks like he feels right at home at the Hazelwoods. I know mommy and daddy feel very welcome! Love you guy! grandma w
